What is the Red Dress Gala all about?
Heart disease is the #1 killer of women. The Red Dress Gala is a fundraising event that brings awareness to this disease. Also, individuals within the community are recognized for their impact on the community. The black-tie event averages between 300-350 guests who enjoy an evening of fine food, a great auction, and entertainment. Each year Red Dress Honorees are recognized at the event. The honorees are for “Health Advocate”, nominated for their outstanding leader in the community and medical field; “Ed Way Community Service & Support Advocate”, nominated for continually giving from the heart to their community; Professional Community Service and Support Award for businesses over and under 50 employees; and our “Red Dress Ambassador” nominated for being an advocate and representing women and heart health in their community. The event raises money for our The Heart Truth Awareness of Women & Heart Disease Programs, as well as women's health general programs.
